Percy Suarez

Percy Suárez is a retired Peruvian Navy submarine officer, former submarine Commanding Officer, and shipyard executive. His career spans operational command, tactical employment, and senior industrial leadership across the diesel-electric submarine lifecycle. He commanded BAP Angamos, leading crew training and operational missions. He also operated alongside U.S. Navy forces under the Diesel-Electric Submarine Initiative (DESI) on the U.S. West Coast, providing high-realism anti-submarine warfare (ASW) training during live naval exercises involving multiple ASW assets. Mr. Suárez is a graduate of the German Submarine Commanding Officers Course, one of the most demanding submarine command programs in the world. Ashore, he served as General Manager of SIMA Callao Shipyard and as a submarine platform Project Manager, overseeing major maintenance, modernization, testing, acceptance, and return-to-service efforts while coordinating technical teams, naval authorities, and international suppliers. He has worked both sides of the submarine enterprise, the yard and the sea. Few submarine leaders bring senior-level experience in both operational command and industrial sustainment. At MOG, Mr. Suárez advises on submarine operations, lifecycle support, modernization, and MOG's approach to allied and partner navies.
